i made hearty homemade bruschetta and nutella brownies.

on sunday i had a lunch date with a dear old friend

and mr. wonderful had to work after church.

since he had left early in the morning for worship practice,

that left us with only about an hour together during the day . . .

not a lot of time for two newlyweds, right?

so after i got home from my afternoon out,

i got moving to cook some good eats for my hardworking husby.

it felt good to make something delicious for him to come home to

and to break out some of our wedding gifts

to use in the kitchen for the first time.

{and also that adorable apron from my sweet girl buddy amanda.}

this bruschetta recipe was mr. wonderful's most requested vegetarian dishes

since we married, followed by amazingly tasty nutella brownies.

it was a good end-of-weekend night here at the nashville wallace residence.
